Terms & Conditions


If you book our services, you are agreeing to comply with and will be bound by the following terms and conditions of hire.

When choosing our “Hire Only” service, you must take responsibility for your own safety when assembling all hired props/décor. The Artisan Wedding House will not be liable for damage caused to property or injury to any person should such items fall/collapse due to not having been installed or assembled correctly. 

We advise that all large/heavy items should not be moved after setup. We understand that occasionally this may need to be done; however, we cannot take responsibility for any damage or injuries caused should you choose to do this yourself. 

Generally speaking and with clients who choose our “Hire & Style” service, we do not like to add damage deposits as an additional fee upfront and therefore choose to trust our customers with our property. However, if a security deposit is required we will always advise you of this prior to booking. Security deposits are requested at our discretion. 

Please be aware that a £50 security deposit always applies to our “Hire Only” service. This will be refunded to you in full upon return of the items in their original condition and packaging. We advise you to check that all items are present and undamaged before packing up and returning to us. We will also do this on their return before refunding your security deposit. Fees may apply if items are returned late as this could affect other bookings.

We are unable to reserve any date or items until a £150 deposit has been paid. Until such time, all items and agreed pricing on your quote/proposal can be altered or withdrawn without notice. The £150 deposit will be deducted from your total balance. This deposit is transferable but non-refundable. We are unable to refund this amount should you later change your mind or cancel your booking. This is because once we take your booking, your chosen items and/or date become exclusive to you so this covers any loss of sales to us should you cancel. Your deposit amount also covers all administration work including rescheduling and postponements/consultations & planning that may have already taken place. We will of course always do our utmost to reschedule your booking and transfer your deposit, subject to date availability. Should we not have availability we will be unable to refund your deposit. 

You can add items to your quote once you have secured your booking; you can also reduce items but only by 10% of the overall prop hire cost. 

Minimum Spend – (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays April to October and during the Christmas/New Year period) minimum prop hire spend is £350 (excluding services). Out of area weddings (75 miles+) require a minimum prop hire spend of £500 (excluding services).
